THE BENEFITS OF USING
VIDEO
There are few phrases that will better
say advanced, successful and professional than "Here,
look at our DVD".
Using video is one of the most powerful
and effective ways you can chose to get your message across. People
remember merely 20% of what they hear, and only 30% of what they see,
and an incredible 70% of what they hear and see [Source: Harvard Business Review].
The ancient adage says that a picture is
worth a thousand words. There are thirty pictures for every second of
video. Whether your message involves marketing, information, or just
'style' video is the way to drive it home.
Consider the benefit of having an
infinitely repeatable face to face encounter . . . under ideal
circumstances, where every word is chosen carefully and expressed
perfectly.
Compelling images and just the right
musical score can stir the emotions more quickly and more deeply than
the written word. And emotions are ultimately the foundation of every
human pursuit.
We live in an age of "visual literacy".
For most Americans the television is their primary source of news. On
any given evening the television is their primary source of
entertainment. For a huge segment of the population a character on TV
helped them learn their ABC's.
Messages presented in well-edited, finely
produced video programs are welcomed as being user-friendly (and coming
from a capable organization).
Most videos can be tailored to serve
multiple roles: educational, promotional, and entertaining --all in the
same program. For those of your who do trade who do trade shows, the
same video you use as a mailer can be used as a non-stop spokesperson,
promoting your company to the crowd even when the other salespeople are
busy helping others.
From a business perspective, the return
on investment can be phenomenal. And the good news that the required
investment isn't nearly what you may expect. Robinson &
