( We do the leg work for
you )
For many of our clients working in the
medium of video is a new process. At first it may seem daunting, but Robinson
& Associates realizes that you've got other things to worry
about. So we handle virtually all of the technical aspects and as much
of the 'creative' aspects as you want.
Proposal
We will happily provide you with a detailed written proposal for your
project, free of charge. Please call or write and tell us what you've
got in mind. An exchange of questions and ideas will allow us to
understand your vision quickly. We will then write it up as clearly and
thoroughly as we can.
We pride ourselves is working efficiently
and minimizing any surprises. We consider the project to be a success
if you get more quality than you expected without having more
expense than you expected.
Pre-Production
This is essentially the planning
and preparation stage. The objectives and format of the program are
outlined. And the scripting and/or 'treatment' are created (depending
on the style of filming to be done).
Arrangements are made for location,
participants, and equipment needed for the shoot. Any necessary
research and preparation of materials is accomplished, along with the
many other miscellaneous elements required (cared for by our staff).
Attention to the details in
pre-production really pays off during filming. The difference between a
smooth, pleasant shoot and one filled with frustration is often
determined weeks before the cameras arrive.
Production
This is the shortest and most exciting phase of the process. The
cameras have been set up. The lights have been adjusted and everyone is
ready to make a movie.
One of the great skills required of any
director / producer is the ability to help non-actors shine. And Robinson
& Associates excels in this regard. We can put you and your
staff at ease. Interviews will come across as natural and professional.
Program hosts or presenters will be given the coaching to strike just
the right tone.
Post Production
This is the most labor intensive phase of the project . . . and the
good news is that ball is in our court.
Editing will make the difference between
a mediocre video and an excellent one. "Slapping it together" could
save us time, but the results wouldn't make you want to come
back. Our goal is to create such a useful, effective program that you
will return soon to have your next DVD made.
The narration is recorded during this
phase. All the titles and graphics are created and incorporated in the
program.
After the program is essentially
completed a proof copy is sent for your review, along with the cover
artwork. Any necessary changes are made and a final cut is sent for
your approval.
Then the program is then duplicated and
delivered to your address, ready to be put into action.
Payment
To protect everyone, we utilize the
standard practice of billing for the project in one third increments.
One third is due upon initiating the contract before pre-production
commenced. One third is due when primary production (shooting) is
completed, and one third is due upon acceptance of the final cut.
Your success is our business. If the
program we create for you is truly beneficial, your growth will
generate more demand for our services. And we look forward to
establishing a long-term relationship with you.
