If you’re like me, you’re constantly toggling between your CRM, event sites, LinkedIn, and countless other sites. I’ve found a way to stop the “tab confusion” that slows us all down.
Did you know you can turn almost any webpage into its own desktop app?
Instead of getting lost in 45 open browser tabs, I now have standalone apps for:
- My CRM for real-time account management
- LinkedIn for staying connected
- Gmail for simple communication
Why it matters: each app gets its own window and its own icon, so side-by-side multitasking is effortless. No more hunting for the right tab when a client needs an answer in seconds.
Here’s the how-to, so you can reclaim your desktop today.
Google Chrome
- Open the site you want.
- Click the three dots (⋮) at the top right, then Cast, save, and share.
- Select Install page as app…
- Name it and click Install. It opens in its own window.
Microsoft Edge
- Go to your preferred website.
- Click the three dots (…), then Apps.
- Select Install this site as an app.
Pro tip: after installing, choose Pin to taskbar so your most critical event tools are always one click away, even when your browser is closed.
